Effective 12 October 2026
Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Innix, which operates Hotspots (the “app”). Questions: hotspots [at] innix [dot] nl.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
Who can use Hotspots
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher). You are responsible for your account and for what is posted from it. Business accounts must represent a real business you are authorised to act for.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Hotspots has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour.
You may not post, send or share anything — in your profile, events, comments, announcements, group messages or photos — that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
- is hateful or discriminatory, or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any similar characteristic;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
- depicts, promotes or incites violence, self-harm or terrorism;
- is spam, a scam, misleading, or impersonates someone else;
- promotes illegal activity, or infringes someone else’s rights (including privacy and intellectual property);
- shares someone’s personal information without their permission.
Our Child Safety Standards describe how we handle child sexual abuse and exploitation.
You also may not try to get around a block, ban or other restriction, for example by creating another account.
Reporting and blocking
You can report a profile, comment, group message, event or business from the app: use the report option on it and pick a reason. You can block another personal account from its profile (“Block or report”). After a block neither of you can find or contact the other in the app, and the other person is not told. You can review and undo blocks in Settings → Privacy → Blocked accounts.
How we enforce these terms
We review reports. If content or behaviour breaks these terms we will remove the content and may suspend or permanently ban the account responsible, without notice. We do not act automatically on the number of reports a piece of content gets; every decision is made by a person.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us the limited permission needed to store it and show it to the people you share it with, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post.
Ending your use
You can stop using Hotspots and delete your account at any time from inside the app (how). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to for legal reasons.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Hotspots is provided “as is” and “as available”. Events are organised by users and businesses, not by us: we are not responsible for events, for what other users or businesses do, or for content they post. To the extent the law allows, Innix is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Additional terms for Apple devices
If you downloaded Hotspots from Apple's App Store, these terms also apply:
- Parties. These terms are between you and Innix only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Innix, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Licence. You get a limited, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (the app may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing).
- Maintenance and support. Innix is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
- Warranty. Innix is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are Innix's responsibility.
- Product claims. Innix, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Innix, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Contact. Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to Innix at hotspots [at] innix [dot] nl.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your mobile data agreement).
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
